D-38 Parent Survey for 2009-10

May 1, 2010

Are you a parent of a child at a D-38 school?

If so, have you received a message from the District with a link to a parent survey?

If you did, please take  a few minutes to participate in this survey. It is divided up into sections where you give multiple-choice answers to questions about each school your children attend the current school year.  At the very end is a section about the District.

Here is the message from the District, which gives information on how to obtain a paper copy of the survey.

Please help Lewis-Palmer School District in our pursuit of excellence by responding to our annual parent survey. To get to the survey, just click on the link at the end of this email. The survey is web-based and will guide you to the questions pertaining to your school or schools.

If you prefer, paper copies of the survey in English and Spanish are available at all school main offices and at the D38 administration office.

  • This survey is anonymous
  • All questions pertain to the current school year (2009-2010)
  • Free free to skip any questions that do not apply to you or your family
  • Approximate time to complete the survey is 12-14 minutes per school
  • After the analysis is completed, summary results will be posted on the district web site

(The link to the survey is included in the original message and not in this post. If you did not receive it or have a problem with the link, contact the District for help.)

Please take the time to give the vital feedback the District receives through this survey!

There were no new mats purchased by Lewis Palmer District #38. They refurbished the very old mats. The new mats that were purchased 5 years ago were thrown away by a janitor last summer. He indicated that the mylar mats were moldy and spoiled and he cut them up and threw them away. He didn’t even recycle the mats. This janitor has lost his job with the district due to this carelessness. The 1st name of the janitor was Bob, but I don’t know the lastname which I will find out and post later.

The refurbish process of the old mats takes time and effort, but they are restored almost to brand new.

Was curious as to why did the taxpayers of LPSD #38 have their money spent to purchase new wrestling mats for LPHS within the past month, when the “old” ones were only a few years old……. less than 5 years I am certain.
    Those mats are expensive!

There is a newer feature on the District’s official website – on the LP Bulletin Board page, that allows you to directly submit a question.
We encourage everyone who has specific questions or concerns to try using this feature.

Here is the link: LP Bulletin Board

Please see our post about this as well.
