Hello Lewis-Palmer Community:

I am excited and pleased to begin serving as the interim superintendent for Lewis-Palmer School District 38. This district has a tradition and foundation of excellence, and I will do all I can to help that continue.

Obviously, these are uncertain times faced by many school districts due to the economic crisis at the state level. Together with the school board, a talented administrative team, skilled and dedicated teaching staff, and loyal, committed support staff, we will make every attempt to see that the students in this district are offered opportunities to be successful graduates and pursue careers and post graduate study.

I love this school district and what it stands for. I love this community and the parents and community members who enjoy their quality of life, home values, and all the amenities that go along with a productive and progressive community. It is essential, then, that the school district continues to provide children with the kinds of experiences that can help this happen. I am proud of many of the District’s past accomplishments, and we will do everything possible to keep that going while facing the financial challenges in the coming year.

I look forward to becoming reacquainted with many of the staff and community and getting to know those who do not yet know me. Working together strengthens our schools, and our schools strengthen our Tri-Lakes community. I am grateful and privileged to be part of this community, and I am honored to serve District 38 again.

Sincerely,
Ted Bauman
